In July 2026, Morlando Crane was excited to welcome another highly versatile piece of equipment to our growing fleet — a National Crane 1400A boom truck mounted on a Kenworth T880 chassis. This combination gives us an excellent balance of lifting capability, reach and roadability, making it a great addition for the wide variety of projects we handle throughout Raleigh and the Triangle.

The National 1400A is a 33-ton boom truck featuring an impressive 127-foot main boom and a maximum tip height of up to 172 feet when equipped with its boom extension. For a crane of its size, that kind of reach gives our operators tremendous flexibility on the jobsite. The 1400A also features National Crane's advanced load-sensing hydraulic system, designed to provide smooth and precise crane operation, along with the enclosed Vision Cab™, which provides excellent visibility and a comfortable operating environment.

Mounted on a Kenworth T880, this crane is especially well suited for the fast-paced taxi crane work that Morlando Crane performs every day. Its truck-mounted design allows us to efficiently travel between jobs while still bringing substantial lifting capacity and reach to the jobsite. Whether we're setting rooftop equipment, handling structural materials, assisting with mechanical installations or tackling one of the many other lifting challenges our customers bring us, the 1400A gives us another highly capable and efficient option.
